Reading information from DVD9 discs involves the use of one standard laser beam for the first layer, and one with a changed focus for the second layer. The media in question is not rewritable.
On a DVD9 disc, you can also place a movie about 120 minutes long, but in a higher quality, for example, HD. The media of this type are characterized by a fairly high cost.
