How to make a French gel polish?

French manicure is always appropriate. That is why he managed to gain such popularity among a wide variety of women. Equally often, a neat jacket can be found in a business woman, student, young mother or service worker. Perhaps this is the only manicure option that can be combined with any dress code. With the development of the beauty industry and the emergence of new products, the question of how to make a French gel polish could not but arise. After all, such a coating will last much longer than the usual varnish, but at the same time it will bring much less harm to nails than building.

Minimum set

To create a French manicure using gel varnishes, you will need some tools.

  • UV or LED lamp with a power of at least 36 W. Without it, it is impossible to polymerize the light-curing coating.
  • Manicure accessories for processing the free edge of nails, removing pterygium and cuticles. You can use ordinary wire cutters and nail files or special attachments for an electrical device.
  • Buff for removing gloss on plates.
  • Brush for drawing a "smile" (very thin or flat with a beveled edge will do).
  • Cotton pads.

Materials commonly used when working with gel polishes will also be required:

  • disinfectant solution for treating hands and instruments;
  • a degreaser that removes oil and skin secretions from the nails;
  • a primer or primer to help improve adhesion between the plate and the substrate;
  • a base that protects the nail from aggressive components of the upper layers;
  • gel varnishes of two colors (camouflage and for drawing a "smile");
  • finish that protects the coating from external factors;
  • means for removing the tacky layer, if one is formed on the surface of the varnishes.

However, if single-phase gel varnishes are used, the base and the finish do not need to be purchased. They will be successfully replaced by two color compositions of the selected shades. All of the listed substances and devices can be bought at any store offering nail industry products. It is recommended to choose products made by one company, as this will increase the "service life" of the coating.

Preparation

Pretreatment of nails has a huge impact on the quality of manicure. And the first step towards beautiful hands is disinfection, which prevents the occurrence of inflammatory and fungal diseases. Before you start creating a jacket, you need to do a classic manicure, giving the desired shape to the free edge and carefully removing the cuticle. In the latter case, it is not recommended to use oil-based products; it is better to give preference to edging technology.

Then, using a soft nail file or a buff, the pterygium, a thin film that remains on the nail next to the bed, should be carefully removed from the plates.

  • A manicure will last longer if you do not wet your hands at all in the first 3 hours, and during the next half of the day you reduce "wet" cases to a minimum.
  • Do not file the free edge of the nails between treatments. This will damage the "seal", and hence detachment.
  • It is not recommended to constantly use gel polishes. After 2-3 procedures, you need to give your nails a rest and recovery for at least a week. You can help them by making masks and baths with sea salt, oils and other useful substances.
  • It is better to postpone such a manicure if the nails are very thin and brittle. The coating on such plates will still not last long. Indeed, with constant deformation of the base, gel polish will inevitably begin to crack and chip. And the harm done by chemicals will only weaken your nails even more.

    A French manicure made with gel polish is capable of delighting its mistress with an elegant shine for 2-3 weeks. And you can easily achieve such a result even at home, without going to beauty salons. You just need to learn how to make a high-quality classic manicure and carefully draw a "smile"!
